The St. Joseph Millennium School was born as a kindergarten in the year 2001 with an enrolment of 40 pupils. Later on, the school progressed by establishing a primary school in 2007. The number of students has increased to 405 units at the present date.

Student housing at Lalibela

Girls ten / twelve years old are the privileged victims of abuses of power and often obliged to get married to old men, following the parent’s interests. In addition to the above, the villages where they live are several miles away from the closest schools and they have no financial means to support them. We are building a house to shelter 20 girls in the town of lalibela.
