As part of the “Donate the Water” scheme, which has been made possible through the partnership established among Butterfly Charity Foundation, ADCS, (the Catholic Secretariat of Adigrat and the charity association Volontari l’Accoglienza di Caselle (TO), a water well has been drilled at the village of DEBREMIHIRE, in Gantafesum province, Tigray Region.
The total number of beneficiaries are in the range of some 600 individuals since the people living in the nearby villages will access to this well clean water.
A hand-operated pump and pipes have been installed in order to reach the depth of 52 metres, far below the aquifer level. Due fencing has been provided as well in accordance with the usual procedure.
The well, funded by Vo l’A association under the name of “The well of the happiness” has been officially opened on November 20th 2017.
