Several water-related projects are underway in the Tigray region, North of the country, at the border with Eritrea.
The “Donate the Water” scheme has been made possible through the partnership between the Butterfly Charity Foundation and ECC-SDOAd-B (Catholic Association of Adigrat) to implement several water-related projects.
On July 29 2023, a water well, arid for several years, was opened at the village of MEZGEBET, Gulomakeda district in the Tigray region, Ethiopia. The following rehabilitation works that had already been executed before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and the two-year lasting war in the Region.
The well, dedicated to Mario, Mattia & Mauro, has been funded by Elena Pizzighello, celebrating her marriage anniversary and her friends.
The number of beneficiaries is 400 people.
